It happened on Friday, Aug. 4 in Inwood, according to Nassau County Police.
A 50-year-old woman was walking on Nassau Avenue at approximately 5:30 a.m. when the suspect, Freddie Keitt, allegedly came up behind her and grabbed her by the waist.
Keitt, age 44, forcefully dragged her to a hidden area between two parked vehicles next to the sidewalk, where a struggle ensued.

He is also said to have hit the woman in the head multiple times with a closed fist.
Though she sustained multiple injuries, the victim was able to escape and Keitt fled the scene.
